We understand the convenience of having in-house counsel on staff, but know the importance of avoiding the salary and benefits required to maintain that convenience. After serving as in-house counsel for a publicly-traded, non-listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Justin G. McGee is well acquainted with the "ins and outs" of managing companies and corporations. This ranges from HR matters, to contract drafting and review, to real estate matters, to vendor and customer disputes. As Outside General Counsel, we will be at your disposal for any of your legal needs, for a fraction of the cost of having in-house counsel!
The Texas Business Organization Code requires all limited liability companies and corporations to have at least a president and a secretary, and those roles cannot be held by the same individual. Our office is equipped to act as Secretary for your company or corporation! This role includes: keeping and recording meeting minutes, executing documents on behalf of the entity, and filing various documents with the appropriate governmental entity on behalf of the entity (filings with the Secretary of State, State Comptroller, etc.). As Secretary, our office will ensure timely filings, appropriate meeting minutes, and filing compliance with governmental bodies!
