According to Texas law, a corporation, company, or other business entity cannot represent itself at trial. These "commercial" clients must be represented by legal counsel. Justin G. McGee managed and led the Texas litigation while he was in-house counsel for a publicly-traded, non-listed Real Estate Investment Trust. While in this capacity, Mr. McGee learned and experienced the particular needs commercial clients have when faced with litigation.
Commercial litigation can be a confusing and arduous process. Our office will zealously defend and/or prosecute your position during all stages of the lawsuit, whether resolution comes through pre-trial motion, trial, or settlement. Although we cannot guarantee outcomes in litigation, we can guarantee that you will be provided timely updates with the case, discovery (if applicable) will be aggressively sought, and your best interest will always be at the forefront!
Quite often, a lawsuit can be resolved well before incurring the monetary and time costs associated with trial, and this may be achieved through mediation. Mediation is a confidential process that allows the parties the opportunity to voice their grievances, while maintaining the ability to salvage relationships in an amenable and cordial manner.
